Especially when youre playing a program of Truckees tradition and history, its always a big game, Hodges said. Were pleased to be playing Truckee. We wouldnt want to be playing anybody else. If you want to be the best, youve got to play the best. And you usually have to go through Truckee.
Knowing this, Hodges made the one-hour drive to Surprise Stadium last weekend to scout the Truckee-Sparks contest. He said people have been asking for his assessment ever since the Wolverines secured the No. 1 seed with a 35-27 win.
I think the best team won, the coach said. Theres no doubt about it. Truckee was the best team in every aspect. And I think Sparks is a good team, too.
Bioneers serving locally grown food to promote sustainability
When Kryssa Bowman agreed to cater this weekend's Northern Rockies Bioneers Conference, she had a lofty goal: Cook all the meals with ingredients grown or made within 100 miles of Bozeman. “I love challenges, so I was like, 'Let's make it work, even if I have to do just salad and meat,'" said Bowman, owner of Thyme Savors, a personal chef service. “The local farmers and ranchers, they deserve to have our business."Other than the salt and pepper, she has managed to accomplish her goal, creating recipes for four different meals that will feed 325 people each. In addition to being home grown, all of the food will be pesticide free and organic.Accomplishing that feat wasn't easy. Bowman had to design the menus based on ingredients she knew she could find in the area.She picked plums and apples from local gardens and a neighbor's yard.

Throw in the circumstances and the six freshmen that grace the court each game and the Hokie Nation has something to be excited about. Another good side note for The Good--Clemson’s senior guard and second leading scorer Cliff Hammonds broke his wrist in their last game against Maryland. Hammonds says he plans to play against Georgia Tech with the broken wrist on Thursday. Now…the Will Call would never wish injury on anyone but let me just repeat that. Hammonds plans to play…ACC basketball…with a broken wrist on Thursday. Does anybody else see where this could lead? Hammonds is really risking himself in the game Thursday which means half as much as the game Sunday against the Hokies.

Perhaps they were getting out of Daytona before spring break crowds hit and stopped by Jacksonville for the Monster Truck Jam. The Binmeister thinks they're heading to the Ohio primary to see which candidate lays the next egg. - On Feb. 16, a flash of red signaled the start of another progressive party. This time it arrived in the form of a big red double-decker bus carrying 65 ebullient Scots. The bus pulled up at Fionn MacCool's at Jacksonville Beach, the first stop on the Beaches Pub Crawl, a precursor to the Jacksonville Scottish Highland Games. The organization's treasurer, E.J. Taylor of Jacksonville Beach, and pub crawl host Audie Gibson were on hand to greet the - in some cases - kilt-clad partiers, who boarded the bus at Seven Bridges Grill & Brewery. Some wore their clan's plaid, and all carried mugs that said, "I survived the PUB Crawl." MacCool's General Manager Paul Glaser and his staff readily filled those mugs with the brews of choice.
Response to InfoWorld’s Choices on 2007’s Top Technology
First of all, I must note for the record that InfoWorld has never given me an award as being top in any category. I'm thankful that they've spared their readers that pain. Now that I've gotten that over with, I'd like to comment on an article I recently read over at InfoWorld. David Marshall, a well known comentator on the virtualization arena and quite an interesting person, comments on his choices of the best technology from 2007. Although several fine products are mentioned, they seem to be the obvious choices because they offered technology that certainly was good enough to statisfy the needs of many organizations and were both highly and successfully publicized by their developers. What about the technology that was less highly publicized but, very interesting nevertheless? I suspect that the products that were easiest to defend were selected due to the limited space allowed for such discussions.
